Here are our requests for the week:
- Wisdom in managing the needs of the hospital
- God’s provision both for personnel and finances
- Energy and strength to continue when we’re tired
- An awareness of God’s constant presence
- Praise God for family – we’ve had some good family time during the kids’ spring break
We want to start off by saying thank you so much for your generosity! You have blessed us immensely with the time that you’ve spent praying for us and with the financial gifts that you’ve sent. God is using you to allow us to be here, and many Gabonese patients and family members are experiencing God’s love thanks to you.
It’s been good to have God with us these past couple of weeks. We said a tearful goodbye to our teammate Deb – what an amazing sendoff the hospital gave her! And we successfully made it through our hospital meetings. Praise God that the internet was good enough for us to communicate – it was choppy at times, but it worked. We still have many unanswered questions, but we serve a God who is in control of all and knows all, and we are placing our trust in Him to provide for our many needs.
With the extra load that Wendy has had as medical director, we’ve been intentionally planning little get-aways in our schedule. Right after the hospital meetings last week, we spent a few days at a hotel a few hours from here. Attached is a picture of the kids happily waiting for omelets, fresh baked baguettes, and hot chocolate at a bakery near the hotel.
Thanks again – have a great week!
Eric and Wendy
