Helping You Grow
The society has a long history of desiring to help those in training attend the annual meeting. Our hope is that this meeting would significantly impact both your professional and spiritual journey and that you will become an active member of the society going forward, personally investing in the next generation of ophthalmologists and missionaries.
It is our desire to help connect you with like-minded ophthalmologists who can befriend you, encourage you and guide you through your training experience and beyond.
We have two main avenues for doing this: our Annual Summer Meeting Grant Program and the Glen Brindley Mentorship Program. To learn more about the mentorship program click the button to the right. Keep reading below for grant information.
To apply for a grant, please click on the link to the right. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a discount code and a link for registration.
Each year at the annual meeting, we host a Super Bowl of Grand Rounds. A handful of our grant recipients will be selected to present their case during the Grand Rounds. Everyone who receives a grant is asked to complete the Grand Rounds Entry Form. If you are not selected to present your case, we ask that you prepare a scientific poster to hang and present each morning.

Our Member-in-Training Grant Policy
We wish that we could continue to give a grant to everyone who is in training, regardless of the level. Unfortunately, we have had to change our policy. Please read the policy to determine if you qualify for a grant to attend the Annual Summer Meeting.
