Foster A Missionary!
The Christian Ophthalmology Society announced the launch of the “Foster A Missionary” Program in August 2021.
Each year a missionary ophthalmologist is chosen by the COS board to be sponsored for one entire year by the society.
Society members will support the efforts of the “fostered” missionary throughout the year by various means, one of which can be highlighting the missionary in their office and sharing with their patients also about what support can be given to help this missionary and their efforts.
The sponsored missionary for 2022-2023 was announced at the 46th annual meeting in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The sponsored missionary is Dr. Wendy Hofman who is serving at Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, Africa.
